Funding for Air Source Heat Pumps in Scotland
The Home Energy Scotland Grant is exclusive to Scotland. Eligibility criteria:
- You must live in your own home.
- Installers must be MCS certified (which we are).
- The installer must also be a member of the Trading Standards Institute accredited consumer code, which covers energy storage (which we are at IS Plumbing).
You can receive a maximum of £15,000: £7,500 as a heat pump grant and an additional £7,500 interest-free loan.
A Rural Uplift of an additional £1,500 is also available to support those living in rural or island housing, raising the maximum grant available to £9.000.
The repayment periods are as follows: 5 years for amounts under £5,000, 10 years for £5,000 to £9,999, and 12 years for amounts exceeding £10,000.
If you own or rent a property that is heated with electricity and receive income-related benefits, you are very likely to qualify for a government grant.
