One of the standout moments for us in 2023 was achieving MCS approval and being recognised by RECC and Trustmark. These accreditations underscore our commitment to quality and adherence to industry standards. We were also thrilled to announce that we were honoured as the ‘2023 Top 3 Best Plumbers in Fife,’ a true testament to the dedication of our team.
Skill Development
Our team’s expertise received a boost, as one of our skilled engineers successfully attained a Level 3 certification in Air Source Heat Pump Installation. This enhances our capabilities, and further solidifies our positions as leaders in heating and renewables.
Welcoming New Talent
We’re delighted to announce the newest addition to our team, Lincon, who has joined us as a labourer. We have high hopes for Lincon as we are looking for him to start his apprenticeship with us in the coming year. His enthusiasm and dedication will undoubtedly contribute to IS Plumbing and Heating’s continued success!
Celebrating Team Spirit
We organised a team-building event to celebrate our expansion into the renewable sector and promote teamwork. We tried our hand at a GoApe zipline obstacle course, which was challenging initially, but we all enjoyed it. Afterwards, we had a late lunch followed by dinner and drinks. This event helped strengthen our team’s bond and helps sets the stage for the exciting developments which are yet to come.

As we turn our gaze towards the future, 2024 holds promises of growth and innovation for IS Plumbing and Heating. We will focus on expanding the renewables side of our business, and we have ambitious plans to bring on board another skilled engineer to support these plans. Ian Steele, one of the directors and founders of the company, began his plumbing and heating career through an apprenticeship with a prestigious Glasgow company in 1998. He has extensive experience in both the domestic and commercial sectors, and after working in the industry for a decade, he decided to start his own company.
Kerry is in charge of financial matters and serves as the Finance Director, who oversees all aspects of buying products, finance options and the day-to-day running of the business. Kerry’s meticulous approach allows us to secure the best products and deals for our customers, making us highly competitive. We hold various accreditations and memberships, such as OFTEC (501319), MCS; RECC (00073992), Gas Safe Registered (983947), and BPEC.
