About IS Plumbing & Heating

We are a small family-run business with close ties and good roots within the community. Accreditations and memberships include OFTEC (501319); MCS; RECC (00073992); Gas Safe Registered (617179) and BPEC. It is important to us to keep up-to-date with the industry standards, and any new innovations.

Family Business

Ian Steele, the founder and one of the Directors, completed a full plumbing and heating apprenticeship with a well-respected company in Glasgow in 1998. He went on to gain further knowledge in both the domestic and commercial sectors. After 10yrs in the industry, the next step was to start our own company.

Kerry is the company’s Finance Director who oversees all aspects of the buying of products, finance options and other day to day running of the business. This enables us to get the best products and deals for our customers, so we can be highly competitive.

Being a small company gives us an edge over larger companies, allowing us to give everything we do the personal touch. As we don’t sub-contract our work, this enables us to keep the standard and quality of our work very high. We as a business thrive on good reputation, therefore our goal is always to ensure the customer is 100% satisfied with any and all work carried out – no matter how big or small.

We now have two fully qualified engineers and an apprentice. However, Ian still personally oversees all jobs carried out by our employees to ensure a very high standard is met, and to ensure our customers are 100% satisfied with all work carried out.
